Hospital de Olhos Niterói has been a reference in Ophthalmology since its founding in 1992, when it operated under the name Centro de Olhos Avenida Sete.
These decades of history have been marked by technological and infrastructural advances, without compromising humanized care and efficiency in accurate diagnoses and consistently high-standard surgical outcomes.
In the 1990s, its founders envisioned an ophthalmological clinic that, beyond consultations and exams, could offer patients the comfort of its own surgical center.
Today, with a distinctive infrastructure in the region, HON stands out as a complete, cutting-edge hospital, featuring a clinical staff composed of specialists across all ophthalmological specialties.
HON now operates four units in Niterói and one in São Gonçalo, alongside an extensive network of accredited providers. The city of Maricá also benefits from the Group HON’s excellence through Hospital de Olhos Maricá.
**Recognized Excellence**
In 2017, it became the first ophthalmological hospital in the State of Rio de Janeiro to achieve the highest accreditation level — ACREDITADO COM EXCELÊNCIA — awarded by ONA (National Organization for Accreditation), i.e., ONA 3\.
