Job Summary: A professional to supervise and support welding and maintenance activities, performing services on metal parts, equipment, and structures while ensuring quality and safety. Contribute to the safety and durability of structures and machinery. **Description:** Supervise and support the team's welding activities, while also assisting the mechanic in repairs and maintenance. Perform welding and cutting operations on metal parts using various processes (covered electrode, TIG, MIG, MAG, oxy-gas, submerged arc, brazing, plasma), preparing equipment, accessories, and required materials. Ensure service quality by strictly adhering to safety standards, workplace organization, and environmental protection requirements. Responsibilities and Duties Dismantle and assemble equipment using specialized tools for repair and replacement of parts, aiming to improve performance and extend service life; Provide daily assistance in welding activities, assigning tasks among team members, defining priorities, and offering technical support to ensure correct execution of services; Perform monthly repairs on equipment and machinery at the Itaguaí and Rio de Janeiro ports, including material requisition, bodywork painting, and internal modifications to enhance performance; Occasionally perform machine washing with partial disassembly, applying zinc-based desoxidizers and primers to components to prevent rust and increase component durability. Fabricate new buckets when necessary, including technical drawing, measurement, sheet metal cutting using a torch, and finishing with an angle grinder, ensuring compatibility with specific machines. Repair damages to metal ladders by removing dented sheets and performing MIG welding, always using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and quality. Modify machine structures when necessary—such as glass bases, doors, air conditioning units, and sunroofs—with the goal of enhancing operator comfort and reducing equipment wear; Perform welding services on metal structures such as doors, stairs, aluminum roofs, and other items used in offices and workshops, contributing to functional maintenance of operational areas; Assess potential damage caused to vessels by company equipment; if responsibility is confirmed, promptly carry out necessary repairs to avoid delays in port operations.
