Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing metal part cutting and shaping using a torch, interpreting technical drawings, and carrying out simple welding. Key Highlights: 1. Perform simple oxy-fuel/oxy-acetylene welding tasks Industrial Company **Position:** torch operator **Number of Openings:** 1 **Job Description / Responsibilities:** Perform cutting services on metal parts and sheets using oxy-fuel and oxy-acetylene torches to enable disassembly or assembly of metal structures. Read and interpret simple drawings, analyzing lines, dimensions, and key points to guide part cutting; Assemble the cutting torch by mounting the appropriate nozzle onto the handle; Ignite and regulate the torch, adjusting the flame via fuel and oxidizer valves to suit the required cut; Perform cuts or shaping of metal parts and/or sheets by guiding the torch flame along the marked line, melting the part into two sections to prepare, unfold, or disassemble metal structures; Carry out simple welding tasks using an oxy-fuel or oxy-acetylene torch to join metal parts or sheets; Apply the torch to metal sheets to draw patterns or fix other components onto them; Perform other related tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor. **Desired Education and Experience:** Incomplete elementary education Minimum 1 year of experience as a Semi-Skilled Torch Operator. **Work Modality:** On-site **Neighborhood:** Centro **City:** Niterói **Working Hours:** Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 1-hour break **Additional Information:** Proactive; Teamwork; Willingness to learn; Good interpersonal skills; Resident of Niterói, São Gonçalo, Maricá, or neighboring cities.
