Your work is critical to delivering accurate diagnoses, supporting clinical decision-making, and contributing to treatment continuity in a context of high vulnerability. ***WHAT CHALLENGES WILL YOU FACE?*** You will operate in a dynamic and demanding environment, handling a high volume of samples and procedures requiring precision, speed, and technical rigor. It will be essential to maintain laboratory quality and safety, ensure appropriate use of equipment, and guarantee that results are delivered promptly and reliably to the medical team—directly contributing to the care of people deprived of liberty. ***WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?*** * Perform laboratory tests—including GeneXpert, sputum smear microscopy, culture, complete blood count (CBC), and biochemical assays—in accordance with national protocols and MSF guidelines. * Ensure proper collection, identification, processing, and storage of biological samples. * Record and analyze results under medical supervision. * Strictly adhere to biosafety, hygiene, and infection control standards. * Ensure appropriate disposal of laboratory waste. * Maintain an organized laboratory compliant with quality standards and internal audits. * Carry out basic preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment (e.g., centrifuges, microscopes, GeneXpert systems) and report malfunctions, repair needs, or replacement requirements. * Manage inventory to guarantee supply availability without waste. * Accurately record and archive results, ensuring confidentiality and traceability. * Support laboratory data organization, assist in preparing reports, and contribute to analysis of laboratory performance indicators. * Collaborate with medical, nursing, and pharmacy teams to enable an efficient diagnostic workflow. * Promote safety, ethics, and quality practices in the laboratory environment. **Requirements:** ***WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?*** Essential: * Diploma or Certificate as a Laboratory Technician. * Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a laboratory setting.
