




**Description and Responsibilities:** **Working Hours:** 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM **Level:** Professional **Employment Type:** Tenured — CLT labor code ***WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE AN X-RAY TECHNICIAN IN THE MSF PROJECT?*** As an X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for conducting radiological examinations aimed at tuberculosis (TB) detection within the prison system. You will carry out active case-finding activities, ensuring high-quality imaging, radiological safety, and full confidentiality of patient information. You will work closely with medical and nursing teams, using computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) tools. Your work directly contributes to timely diagnoses and to reducing TB transmission in highly vulnerable settings. ***WHAT CHALLENGES WILL YOU FACE?*** You will face the challenge of performing examinations with strict technical rigor in a complex environment, ensuring radiological safety for patients, staff, and yourself. You will be responsible for operating digital equipment, maintaining organized workflows for image registration and archiving, and supporting rapid, evidence-based clinical decisions—always aligned with MSF standards and national protocols. ***WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKDAY LOOK LIKE?*** * Perform X-ray examinations as requested, ensuring technical quality and minimal radiation exposure. * Support active TB screening activities in prison units and entry points. * Use computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) tools to identify pulmonary abnormalities. * Refer patients with suspicious findings for sample collection and diagnostic confirmation. * Collaborate with medical and nursing teams in follow-up of results. * Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, performing cleaning, basic calibration, and routine quality checks. * Report equipment malfunctions, losses, or damages to your immediate supervisor. * Strictly apply radiological safety standards to protect patients and staff. * Identify individuals vulnerable to radiation (e.g., pregnant women) and ensure appropriate protective measures. * Ensure compliance with hygiene, cleaning, and safe waste disposal protocols. * Maintain complete and organized records of all examinations to support analysis of radiological activity indicators. * Conduct regular inventories of materials and ensure proper storage. * Participate in meetings, trainings, and support emergency situations when required. **Requirements:** ***WHAT DO YOU NEED?*** Essential: * Technical qualification in Radiology or a technologist degree in Radiology. * Professional experience, preferably with digital imaging systems.
