Collaboration with Engineering, SRE, Architecture, and Product teams **Job Description:** **About the Role** We are looking for a **Senior FinOps Analyst** to lead cost optimization initiatives in multi-cloud environments. This professional will be responsible for analyzing large volumes of financial and operational data, generating strategic insights, and clearly demonstrating the **business value and financial return (ROI)** of optimization efforts. You will work closely with Engineering, SRE, Architecture, and Product teams to ensure financial efficiency, governance, and data-driven decision-making. **Responsibilities** * Perform **advanced analysis of large volumes of cloud consumption data** (AWS, Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud) to identify patterns, waste, and optimization opportunities. * Translate complex data into **clear financial insights**, linking technical actions to cost reduction, ROI, and business impact. * Design and maintain **dashboards, reports, and financial models** (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Grafana, or similar tools). * Establish and evolve **FinOps governance practices**, including chargeback/showback, tagging policies, budgets, and allocations. * Collaborate with technical teams to guide architectural decisions from the perspective of cost, efficiency, and performance. * Conduct analyses of **demand curves**, rightsizing, autoscaling, reservations (Savings Plans, RIs), storage tiers, networking, and managed services. * Actively participate in meetings with leadership and business units to present metrics, results, and next steps of the optimization plan. * Evaluate and manage FinOps tools (CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, etc.). * Support cloud spend forecasting and variance analysis. * Lead workshops and develop content to foster FinOps culture across the organization. **Required Qualifications** * Proven experience as a **Senior FinOps Analyst**, Cloud Cost Engineer, or similar role. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related fields (or equivalent experience). * **Strong experience analyzing large volumes of data**, using advanced techniques for exploration, interpretation, and modeling. * Ability to **clearly demonstrate the financial value** of optimization initiatives (ROI, TCO, payback, comparative analyses). * Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, BigQuery, Athena, etc. * In-depth knowledge of cloud pricing and consumption models (compute, network, storage, databases, serverless, CDN). * Familiarity with FinOps practices and framework (Inform, Optimize, Operate). * Strong communication skills when interacting with executives and technical teams. * Advanced Excel (pivot tables, financial models, analyses) and SQL proficiency. * Experience with multi-cloud environments or at least one of the major providers: AWS, Azure, or GCP. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications** * **FinOps Practitioner** or **FinOps Advanced** certification. * Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience with analytical programming languages (Python, R). * Knowledge of data engineering (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data lakes). * Experience with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). * Participation in FinOps communities or contributions to internal/external best practices. **Soft Skills** * Analytical and data-driven mindset. * Strategic thinking with business acumen. * Ability to influence teams and advocate for recommendations. * Ownership mindset and focus on continuous improvement. * Excellent verbal and visual communication skills. **Job Details** * Hybrid model | Alphaville - SP or Barra Funda - SP (1 day per week onsite at either location) * PJ (Individual Contractor) engagement **Location****Engagement Model****Work Model** São Paulo, SP, BR PJ (Individual Contractor) Hybrid
