The **Construction Technician** is responsible for supervising construction works in accordance with the Quality Manual, project documents, technical specifications, and quality and safety guidelines. Their primary role is to monitor construction progress, verify proper application of materials, check measurements, identify non-conformities, and report them to the responsible engineer, ensuring adherence to the schedule and procedures outlined in the Quality Manual.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Read and interpret standards, technical specifications, and infrastructure (roadway and building) project documents;
* Complete forms and prepare reports as stipulated in the Quality Manual;
* Monitor and supervise field service execution, ensuring compliance with project documents, technical specifications, and the Quality Manual’s Service Inspection Procedures;
* Monitor receipt and correct application of materials and inputs according to the Quality Manual’s Material Inspection Plan;
* Monitor technological control tests in accordance with the Quality Manual’s Testing Plan;
* Collect and transport to the Central Laboratory material samples used in highway construction, such as soil, crushed stone, CAUQ, asphalt binders, asphalt emulsions, granular mixtures, Portland cement concrete, among others;
* Verify that materials are applied in accordance with approved Mix Design Studies and their respective working ranges/tolerances;
* Complete Service Release Forms;
* Identify and record non-conformities in service execution and propose corrective actions;
* Check and validate service measurements and verify their compliance with contracts;
* Prepare daily records, technical reports, site diaries, and photographic documentation as specified in the Quality Manual;
* Monitor construction progress and team productivity against activity schedules and deadlines;
* Verify that services are performed according to the weekly schedule approved by the CCO;
* Assist communication between site and office, ensuring accurate information flow;
* Verify that the worksite is properly marked with signs and cones per the Works Signage Project and Signage Manual;
* Identify potential environmental and safety deviations and non-conformities, and report them to the Concessionaire’s technical team;
* Work in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
**Education/Experience:**
* Completed high school;
* Technical course in Building Construction, Road Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields is desirable.
**Specific Knowledge/Skills:**
* Required experience in supervision of roadway infrastructure (earthworks and drainage) and building construction projects;
* Experience in construction measurement processes and technological control is desirable;
* Ability to interpret roadway projects and applicable technical standards;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
* Driver’s license category B.

Via Araucária is the concessionaire responsible for operating, maintaining, and modernizing Lot 1 of Paraná State’s Highway System, covering 473 kilometers of federal and state highways. This stretch includes Curitiba’s North and South bypasses, interconnections among municipalities in the Curitiba Metropolitan Region, and the route between the state capital and Guarapuava in central-southern Paraná, among other road segments.
Over the next 30 years of the concession agreement, the concessionaire commits to investing BRL 7.9 billion in expansion and modernization works, plus an additional BRL 5.2 billion for operations.
