Job Summary: The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing construction and service budgets by analyzing project drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, estimating costs and schedules, and monitoring cost evolution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Analyze projects and technical specifications to prepare budgets. 2. Conduct quantity takeoffs and obtain price quotations. 3. Monitor cost evolution and propose corrective actions. The Electrical Estimator prepares budgets for construction projects and services by analyzing design documents, performing quantity takeoffs, estimating costs and timelines. They also obtain material and labor quotations, seeking optimal conditions for project execution. Additionally, they monitor cost evolution during construction to ensure adherence to the established budget. * Analyze projects and technical specifications to prepare construction and service budgets. * Perform quantity takeoffs of materials, labor, and equipment required for project execution. * Obtain price quotations for materials and services, negotiating with suppliers for optimal commercial terms. * Prepare cost spreadsheets, considering required inputs and execution timelines. * Monitor cost evolution during construction, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions. * Participate in project team meetings to align information and ensure budget compliance. * Stay updated on new technologies and trends in the civil construction market to optimize processes and reduce costs. * Prepare periodic cost monitoring reports for the project, presenting analyses and forecasts to management. * Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes by suggesting new practices and tools to enhance departmental efficiency.
