Description
The 1/2 Toolmaker Apprentice is responsible for assisting in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of tools, dies, and fixtures. Working under direct supervision, they perform less complex tasks while learning the techniques and procedures of the trade.
* Assist in the fabrication and repair of tools, dies, and fixtures following instructions from the Toolmaker.
* Perform adjustments and minor modifications to parts and equipment according to technical specifications.
* Operate machining equipment—including lathes, milling machines, and grinders—under supervision.
* Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of tools and equipment in the department.
* Ensure workplace organization and cleanliness, adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Learn and develop the technical skills required to become a qualified Toolmaker.
* Collaborate with the work team to help achieve established goals and deadlines.
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge in the field of toolmaking.
