Design and implement contingency plans for capacity constraints **DESCRIPTION** --------------- Sr Transportation Project Manager is responsible for leading and orchestrating comprehensive peak period preparation strategies across the transportation network, working closely with S\&OP, topology, network design, configuration teams in addition to transportation peak captains to ensure optimal network performance during high\-volume periods. Key job responsibilities * Lead medium and short\-term peak planning initiatives, aligning transportation capacity with forecasted demand * Collaborate with S\&OP teams to develop integrated peak readiness plans across all transportation miles * Analyze and optimize network configurations and topology to meet peak period requirements * Ensure network connections and nodes are properly configured and ready for increased volume * Design and implement contingency plans for potential capacity constraints * Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation across various transportation teams * Monitor and assess network performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks * Lead transportation peak readiness and war rooms meetings **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------------ * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * Experience in a business analyst, data analyst or equivalent role * Experience creating, iterating, and improving end\-to\-end global supply chains * Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results * Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- * Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field * Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques * Experience working with large\-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python) Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
