We are seeking a **Yard Operator** to join our logistics operations, ensuring organization, safety, and smooth handling of both empty and loaded containers. **Key Responsibilities** * Monitor and list empty and loaded containers * Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify damages * Verify operational documents (interchange receipts, draft documents, and loading orders) * Guide container movements and stacking within the yard * Maintain constant communication with drivers, operators, and internal departments * Clearly relay information for reporting purposes * Manage lining kits and maintain yard organization * Comply with safety regulations and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) **Requirements** * Completed high school education (a college degree is preferred) * Minimum 6 months of experience in yard operations, logistics, transportation, or container handling * Practical knowledge of yard operations and container inspections Document verification skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Basic knowledge of logistics * Familiarity with operational/logistics systems * Understanding of safety standards and international regulations regarding container fitness **Work Schedule: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Monday to Friday); 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Saturday)** **About the Company** VPL is not merely a cargo transportation company; we are your strategic logistics partners, committed to driving your business’s success.
