Engineering Manager. **About the Challenge** BMP Digital is structuring its tribe model and seeks an **Engineering Manager** capable of focusing on what truly matters in technical leadership: **managing people without micromanagement, removing impediments without creating dependency, and ensuring delivery without compromising teams’ technical autonomy**. This role serves as the bridge between the **technical execution of tribes** and the company’s **strategic direction**, working directly with the **CTO** and **Tech Leads**. **Summary of Responsibilities.** * Directly manage engineers across assigned tribes, conducting **1:1s, continuous feedback, development plans, and performance evaluations;** * Ensure teams operate autonomously, guaranteeing **clarity of priorities, removal of blockers, and a psychologically safe environment;** * Collaborate with the CTO on **team structuring, process definition and evolution**, and strengthening the **engineering culture;** * Participate in the engineering hiring process: **technical screening, interviews, and onboarding support;** * Monitor **team health**, observing delivery pace, technical quality, engagement, and retention; * Build and maintain relationships between technical tribes and **Product, Regulatory, and Business** areas; * Contribute to defining and evolving **engineering rituals** (planning, refinement, retrospectives, and quality ceremonies). **Technical Requirements.** * Extensive minimum experience in **software engineering**, including formal experience in **people leadership roles;** * **Solid technical foundation**, with hands-on experience in software development; * Ability to deliver **direct, honest, and constructive feedback**, demonstrating maturity and accountability; * Understanding of the **unique challenges of leadership in regulated technology companies;** * A profile that addresses conflicts directly and responsibly, avoiding accumulation and unnecessary escalations. **Preferred Qualifications.** * Experience in **fintechs, digital banks, or regulated financial institutions;** * Experience with **tribal models, autonomous squads, or structures inspired by the Spotify model;** * Functional knowledge of the **National Financial System (SFN)**, including payment methods, Central Bank (Bacen) regulation, or **BaaS.** **Additional Information.** * Work model: **100% in-office**; * Location: **Av.
