Strictly follow hygiene and food safety regulations **Position: Semi-Skilled Kitchen Worker** **Department:** Kitchen **Reports to:** Cook or Chef / Owner **Employment Type:** CLT / Employment Contract **Position Objective** Assist cooks in food preparation, ensuring dishes are produced with quality, efficiency, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in **food pre-preparation** (e.g., vegetable cutting, seasoning, portioning). * Support **food preparation and dish plating**, following restaurant standards. * Maintain a **clean and organized kitchen**, including utensils, work surfaces, and equipment. * Monitor **basic ingredient inventory** and notify the cook when replenishment is needed. * Strictly adhere to **hygiene, food handling, and storage regulations**. * Collaborate with the team to ensure an **efficient workflow**. * Perform additional tasks as directed by the cook or chef. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Prior experience in a professional kitchen. * Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques. * Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively. * Completed elementary education; culinary courses or technical training are advantageous. **Behavioral Competencies** * Organization and attention to detail. * Proactivity and willingness to learn. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to perform various kitchen tasks.
