JOB DESCRIPTION: * Receiving goods, organizing departmental inventory in cold storage, handling food products, preparing seasoned items and self-service trays, restocking shelves, monitoring product expiration dates, verifying pricing, cleaning and organizing the department, customer service/sales * Arranging butcher counters and frozen food islands with various cuts of meat according to predefined quality standards to facilitate sales. * Providing direct customer service at the butcher counter, including cutting, grinding, and weighing meat to serve customers effectively. * Assisting in separating departmental products into appropriate containers—such as ground meats, chicken cuts, sliced steaks, ribs, and roasted meats—weighing, pricing, and displaying them for sale. * Updating prices on the butcher price list as instructed. * Keeping meat items inside cold storage chambers organized to create space for newly arrived stock. * Maintaining order and hygiene in the workplace—including cleaning counters, cold storage chambers, etc.—to prevent accidents and the proliferation of insects, bacteria, etc., ensuring compliance with required quality standards. REQUIREMENTS: * Completed elementary education; * Availability to work on a 6x1 schedule; * Availability to work from 1:40 PM to 10:00 PM; * Prior experience in this role is an advantage; * General knowledge of meats | inventory control | meat preparation | meats and customer service | food handling.
