The HRS will serve the DRSXVI Sorocaba region (48 municipalities) and 15 municipalities from the Mananciais and Rota dos Bandeirantes Health Regions, totaling a population of 5,412,200 inhabitants (IBGE – 2016), through the São Paulo State Health Services Regulation Center. The Sorocaba Regional Hospital "Dr. Adib Domingos Jatene" features adult clinical and surgical beds, pediatric beds, operating rooms, diagnostic center, emergency care, specialty outpatient clinics, and an ambulatory surgery unit where elective surgeries are performed with admission and discharge on the same day of the procedure.
