If you want to work in a dynamic environment that values employee well-being and offers real growth opportunities, this is your chance! **We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Chapecó-SC.** **Responsibilities and duties** * Sort, classify, clean, pre-prepare, and finish salads according to the daily or next-day menu; * Support dish preparation by performing tasks such as cleaning, cutting, sorting, and organizing food items in accordance with recipes and standards established by the Head Chef or cook; * Assist in food cooking stages, including frying and grilling; * Contribute to plating and finalizing dishes, following specific guidelines and ensuring presentation and quality standards; * Ensure cleanliness, organization, and inventory control—including freezers and refrigerators—guaranteeing proper food preservation and monitoring of expiration dates; * Maintain a clean and organized workplace, covering surfaces, equipment, utensils, infrastructure, and storage areas; * Participate in buffet setup, restocking, and maintenance, ensuring food quality, cleanliness, temperature, and presentation; * Polish dishes and utensils as required by the department and ensure their proper cleaning and storage after the process; * Prepare food for events and coffee breaks, and assist in setting up and organizing these services as instructed; * Observe and adhere to scheduled service hours, ensuring efficient restaurant operations; * Receive, inspect, and store food supplies and cleaning products, and organize the filing of related invoices and bills within the department; * Wash dishes, cutlery, and other used utensils thoroughly and store them appropriately upon completion of the cycle; * Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all activities to promote workplace safety; * Strictly follow food hygiene and safety regulations, as well as internal procedures and company policies; * Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and demands; * Assist in training new team members when necessary; * Respond promptly and efficiently to requests from the Head Chef; * Ensure preparations are delivered on time and to standard; * Adapt to fluctuations in demand while maintaining agility without compromising quality standards; * Maintain and preserve equipment and utensils; * Perform other duties related to the position. **Requirements and qualifications** **Education:** * Preferred: Completed high school; currently enrolled in food-related courses or training programs. **Experience:** * Minimum: 6 months’ experience in restaurants. * Preferred: 1 year’s experience in high-volume restaurants (500+ meals). **Technical knowledge/skills:** * Food hygiene and safety; * Basic food preparation knowledge; * Use of professional kitchen equipment and utensils; * Organization, storage, and inventory management of food supplies; * Basic cutting techniques. **Behavioral skills:** * Agility; * Time management; * Adaptability; * Personal organization; * Good interpersonal skills. **Additional information** * **Breakfast** (optional); * **Free lunch** for employees; * **Daily healthy snack;** * **Transportation allowance**: You are entitled to transportation allowance as stipulated by Brazil’s Consolidated Labor Laws (CLT); * **Dental plan** Uniodonto (per internal policy); * **Health plan** Unimed (per internal policy); * **Education assistance** (per internal policy); * **Career and development plan** (per internal policy); * **Workplace gymnastics;** * **Rest area;** * **Birthday day off;** * **Partnerships** with: Universities; Language schools; Ótica Berlim; Deatec; CPO Clínica Psicológica do Oeste. **Hello, we are the IXC Softers!** Now you’ll learn how the giant IXC Soft operates.
