Description
Job Summary:
A professional responsible for the integrated management of storage, control, preparation, and handling of metallic materials and production inputs, ensuring availability and optimizing workflow.
Key Highlights:
1. Strategic management of metallic materials and production inputs
2. Coordination of warehouse, toolroom, and metallic preparation
3. Process optimization and waste reduction
The Metallic Sector (Warehouse) is strategic to the company's operations, responsible for the integrated management of storage, control, preparation, and handling of metallic materials and production inputs. Structured across three functional areas — Warehouse, Raw Material Reuse, and Metallic Preparation — the sector ensures material availability with a focus on inventory accuracy, physical organization, tool control, quality inspection, and productive workflow optimization. In addition to supporting production areas through processes such as cutting, drilling, forming, forging, fitting, and layout, the sector also strongly contributes to waste reduction and financial and environmental sustainability by reusing materials and properly managing and commercializing scrap, transforming waste into business value.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Coordinate the warehouse and toolroom to ensure continuous availability of raw materials, production inputs, and PPE, monitoring receipts, issues, and stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses impacting production.
* Coordinate the toolroom to ensure tools, fixtures, and production support equipment are available, intact, and traceable, guaranteeing preventive maintenance, process standardization, cost control, and compliance with quality, safety, and operational performance requirements to efficiently support production areas.
* Coordinate activities related to receipt, storage, control, picking, transfers, and replenishment of materials to ensure a continuous and organized input flow, supervising processes and applying internal procedures to guarantee that production units receive correct materials at the required time.
* Ensure physical and system stock accuracy to maintain reliability of inventory data, conducting cyclic inventories, analyzing discrepancies, and adjusting records to enable sound decision-making and avoid stockouts or overstocks.
* Manage KPIs to monitor warehouse and toolroom operational performance, analyzing data, trends, and results to support improvement initiatives and decision-making.
* Plan, monitor, and control material flow according to PPCPM requirements to ensure efficient production support, adjusting deliveries and availability in line with scheduling to guarantee continuity and adherence to production deadlines.
* Coordinate the metallic preparation team to ensure correct execution of activities such as cutting, forming, beveling, and chamfering, providing guidance, supervision, and follow-up on procedures to guarantee prepared materials meet technical requirements.
* Ensure proper use, preservation, and availability of metallic preparation machinery to operate within planned capacity and service life, monitoring preventive maintenance plans to guarantee safety, performance, and operational reliability.
* Coordinate and control the management of the surplus materials and scrap yard to ensure organization, identification, traceability, and correct location of materials, following internal procedures, environmental regulations, and company guidelines to ensure environmental and operational control and compliance.
* Propose improvements to systems and processes related to material control and logistics in warehouse and metallic preparation to increase productivity and reduce waste, analyzing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize the production flow.
* Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, and PPCPM to fulfill material requirement and preparation planning, participating in alignment meetings and periodic interactions to ensure efficient response to production demands.
* Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory procedures of the quality management system so that activities conform to internal and external standards, monitoring processes and guiding the team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
* Monitor and coordinate implementation of the 5S methodology in the sector to maintain operational organization, cleanliness, and discipline, promoting standardization, organization, and appropriate disposal of materials to create a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
* Perform other related duties of similar nature and complexity, as required by the organizational environment.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed Bachelor’s degree (Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields);
* Postgraduate studies, specialization, or advanced training courses in Logistics, Materials Management, Production, Supply Chain, or related fields are preferred;
