




Engineering is the department responsible for transforming ideas into concrete projects at Lumar Metals. The team works from planning through to final delivery, ensuring that each development is feasible, efficient, and aligned with customer and company needs. On a daily basis, Engineering functions as the link between idea and outcome, bringing together coordination, collaboration, and innovation to deliver robust projects and strengthen the Lumar brand in the market. **Responsibilities and duties** We are seeking a qualified and motivated Engineer to join our product development team, with a focus on Thermofluid Dynamics. The professional will be responsible for advanced technical activities involving computational simulations and the design of complex systems, as well as working across all phases of the project development lifecycle. * Develop products and projects with emphasis on Thermofluid Dynamics. * Perform computational simulations using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) for problems involving: Combustion; Multiphase flows; Heat transfer; Abrasive wear; Liquid combustion; Advanced turbulence, including implementation of models for high-speed, high-temperature compressible flows in Ansys software. * Design equipment cooling systems using CFD tools and analytical calculations. * Design and size equipment. * Participate in all stages of project development: Preliminary design; Conceptual design; Basic design; Detailed design; Manufacturing follow-up; Project implementation at client sites. **Requirements and qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields. * Proven experience in CFD simulations using Ansys software. * Advanced knowledge in Thermofluid Dynamics, including combustion, multiphase flows, heat transfer, and turbulence. * Knowledge in designing thermal and fluid dynamic systems, including analytical calculations. * Teamwork skills, good communication, and proactivity. * Proficiency in simulation and computational modeling tools. * Advanced technical English (reading, writing, and speaking) will be considered a plus. * Ability to manage projects throughout all stages, from conception to implementation. **Additional information** **Working hours:** 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday) **Our Benefits:** **Shuttle transportation or transportation allowance** – to ensure greater convenience in your daily commute. **Life insurance** – protection for you and peace of mind for your family. **Health and dental plans** – we take care of your physical health and your smile. **Pharmacy discount program** – added convenience for purchasing medications with exclusive discounts. **On-site meals or meal allowance** – ensuring your meals are always taken care of. **Lumar Metals Academy** – access to a Corporate Education platform with various courses to develop your skills and boost your career. **Wellhub (Gympass)** – access to gyms, studios, and fitness activities to support your well-being.
