Job Summary:
The Front-Store Assistant is responsible for attending to and directing customers, assisting the sales and cashier teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction and front-store organization.

The Front-Store Assistant’s primary responsibility is to attend to and guide customers regarding their inquiries, assist the sales operator, the front-store supervisor, and the cashier in all departmental routines.
* Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service;
* Comply with Bigmais network standards for service, quality, and safety;
* Report to the front-store supervisor, providing information and feedback on completed tasks;
* Coordinate front-store organization and cleanliness, guiding staff as needed;
* Receive and verify the change fund pouch, signing jointly with the Cashier;
* Exchange cash whenever necessary or upon request by the Sales Operator;
* Announce staff members in the store to direct them promptly to a specific location;
* Attend to and guide customers according to their needs;
* Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and perform authorized call transfers;
* Inform customers about check registration (direct outdated customers to Telemarketing for registration updates);
* Consult the customer’s purchase history in the system whenever necessary;
* Accept card and check payments, completing required forms and monitoring via reports;
* Issue invoices for legal entities and for individuals upon request;
* Perform cash register and system opening and closing procedures;
* Consult products in the system whenever necessary;
* Review daily promotions and their respective quantities set by the company (we do not sell wholesale);
* Assist cashiers whenever requested;
* Process purchase cancellations whenever required by the customer;
* Operate the cash register when necessary;
* Assist the supervisor with assigned routine tasks, such as shift scheduling and activity assignment;
* Assign tasks to cashiers and operational assistants;
* Receive pouches from other units and distribute documents to recipients via protocol;
* Log and dispatch documents via pouch using protocol;
* Process exchanges and returns for customers upon presentation of the fiscal receipt and CPF;
* Issue fiscal notes for exchanges and returns for customers;
* Organize the department and maintain work materials;
* Type and receive consumption requisitions;
* Maintain consumption, delivery, return, and exchange spreadsheets;
* Register complaints and suggestions in the system;
* Monitor internal store consumption, recording deductions in the system (only with authorization and signature from the supervisor or management);
* Deliver work materials to packers and cashiers (bags, cleaning supplies, and other necessities);
* Close the cash register jointly with sales operators and complete the form to be left at the cashier’s office;
* Troubleshoot cash register issues (keyboard, scale, etc.) and submit service tickets if no solution is found;
* Package products, if available;
* Collect shopping carts from areas surrounding the store;
* Train new Front-Store staff;
* Record products left at the cash register and issue an NFD if the customer does not return;
* Complete credit card dispute forms due to system failure or customer transaction error;
* Announce cash register shortages in the supervisor’s absence;
* Package gift-ready items or assemble seasonal baskets in the absence of Visual Merchandising;
* Issue and print container exchange vouchers for customers upon request;
* Perform other duties related to this position.
