




Job Summary: A Telecommunications Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of internet, telephone, and TV services, working on-site and providing customer service. Customer service and field routine organization Job Description: **What a Telecommunications Technician must do:** **Service Installation** * Install internet, telephone, and TV at the customer’s home or business. * Configure modems, routers, set-top boxes, and other equipment. * Run cables (fiber optic, coaxial, UTP, etc.) and install connectors. * Test equipment functionality and ensure signal quality. **Maintenance and Repairs** * Identify and resolve signal or equipment failures. * Respond to customer technical support requests. * Replace components and conduct tests using tools such as OTDR and Power Meter. **Field Routine** * Organize the workday according to received service orders. * Follow optimized routes and maintain effective communication with supervisors and customers. * Complete reports or enter data into systems indicating activity status. * Maintain care of equipment, tools, and vehicles used. **Customer Relations** * Guide customers on proper use of services. * Provide courteous and professional service. * Collect customer signature or digital confirmation of the service order. **Important Skills:** * Knowledge of networks (fiber optics, metallic networks, wireless). * Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments. * Basic understanding of electronics and IT. * Strong communication skills and professional demeanor. * Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments. * Organization, responsibility, and focus on safety.
