Come join our team and become a Med Member. **Responsibilities and Duties** Provide psychological assistance to patients served at the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER/CEES), according to identified biopsychosocial needs, aiming to support emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and social development of patients with physical, hearing, visual, and intellectual disabilities requiring comprehensive rehabilitation. Work individually and/or in groups, attending patients with varying levels of complexity, applying technical and scientific knowledge to promote psychological well-being, autonomy, quality of life, and social inclusion. Conduct clinical and psychodiagnostic psychological evaluations using recognized and validated instruments to identify emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects relevant to the rehabilitation process, recording all pertinent information in the patient’s medical record per service guidelines, including any significant occurrences during therapy. Collaborate integratively with the multidisciplinary team in constructing an individualized therapeutic plan (PTS) that incorporates mental health as an essential dimension of rehabilitation care—from patient/family admission to discharge. Identify psychological risk and protective factors, and develop coping strategies for daily challenges and limitations imposed by disability or health condition. Provide empathetic reception and qualified listening to both patients and their families and caregivers, offering emotional support and psychosocial guidance to strengthen family and social bonds, self-care, and treatment adherence. Develop psychoeducational interventions promoting mental health, self-esteem, motivation, and active patient participation in therapeutic and social processes. Coordinate with services from the Health Care Network, Education, and Social Assistance—both intra- and intersectorally—to ensure continuity of psychological care and integration of users into various social, educational, and community contexts. Contribute to designing and implementing interdisciplinary intervention strategies, respecting principles of comprehensiveness, equity, and humanization. Participate in systematic in-service training, courses, events, discussion circles, and workshops organized by the institution or in partnership, focusing on professional updating, technical improvement, and continuing education in Psychology and Rehabilitation. Supervise and guide Psychology interns and residents and related fields, and participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, technical studies, and teaching and research activities within the service and SUS network. Implement mental health education initiatives, prevention of emotional disorders, and promotion of quality of life through trainings, lectures, and workshops targeted at users, families, caregivers, and the community. Work in accordance with institutional biosafety guidelines, professional ethics, and current clinical protocols. Prepare technical documents in the field—including psychological reports, expert opinions, assessments, declarations, and official letters addressed to external institutions and internal CEES/CER departments—ensuring clarity, objectivity, and technical responsibility in all provided information. Collaborate in drafting and updating normative instructions, protocols, and workflows related to Psychology procedures and services within rehabilitation. **Requirements and Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; Specific Knowledge: 1. Psychological assessment and intervention in rehabilitation contexts. 2. Management of emotional and behavioral issues related to disability. 3. Counseling and family support techniques. 4. Knowledge of psychopathology and neuropsychology.
