A cook’s responsibilities include food preparation, ensuring quality and flavor according to pre-established recipes and menus. This involves selecting, cleaning, and cutting ingredients; using various cooking techniques such as baking and frying; and plating dishes with attractive presentation. The cook is also responsible for kitchen hygiene, equipment maintenance, food inventory control, and may participate in menu planning.
