Global collaboration within an R&D team with members across multiple countries. 2. Opportunity to specialize in system integration testing. 3. Focus on continuous improvement and software quality. ### **Job Title** Senior Software Test Automation Engineer – Test Specialist ### **Job Description** **Senior Software Test Automation Engineer – Test Specialist** You will join the Software Research and Development area in **Varginha/MG**, a globally operating team with members in several countries including Germany, Brazil, China, the United States, India, and others. You will work directly in the area responsible for software testing of medical devices, specifically in Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) — currently focused on general and obstetric multi-parameter monitors. **Your role:** * Specialize in testing integration among various system components, ensuring continuous operation and compatibility across different modules to deliver a cohesive and robust software solution. * Create and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools, helping streamline repetitive testing tasks and improve efficiency in defect detection and software quality assurance. * Develop comprehensive test plans that define scope, objectives, resources, and schedule for testing activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and goals to facilitate effective testing processes and outcomes. * Develop detailed test cases based on software requirements and specifications, execute these tests, and document results to ensure full coverage and accuracy. * Collaborate closely with development teams and other stakeholders to understand software design, functionality, and requirements, ensuring effective test planning and execution. * Establish, configure, and manage test environments to ensure they replicate production configurations, enabling accurate and reliable test results that reflect real-world scenarios. * Conduct root cause analysis on identified defects, collaborating closely with development teams to implement corrective actions promptly and prevent recurrence, thereby improving overall software quality and stability. * Evaluate and refine testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement within the testing team. **You are the right person if you have:** * A completed bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or related fields. * Strong analytical skills, high initiative, a mindset of continuous improvement, and a focus on meeting the needs of our customers and end users. * A constant desire to acquire new knowledge and develop new skills. * 3+ years of experience in software development and testing. * Knowledge of BDD and test automation tools (Cucumber, Gherkin / SpecFlow). * Prior experience in requirements engineering and test management tools. * **Intermediate to advanced English proficiency** * Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, YAML, JSON. * Familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Pipelines, and Git. **How We Work Together** We believe we generate greater impact when working together rather than separately. For our office-based (hybrid) team members, this means working onsite at least ***three days per week at our Varginha/MG office*** to collaborate and build connections with our team and peer departments. **This is an office-based position in Varginha, Minas Gerais. Candidates unwilling to relocate to the city will not be considered.** **About Philips** We are a health technology company. Our entire organization is built upon the belief that every human being matters — and we won’t stop until everyone, everywhere, has access to the quality healthcare that we all deserve. Do the work of your life to help improve the lives of others. * Learn more about **our businesses**. * Discover **our rich and inspiring history**. * Learn more about **our purpose**. * Learn more about **our benefits**. If you are interested in this role and possess many—but not necessarily all—of the required experiences, we encourage you to apply. You may still be the right candidate for this or other opportunities at Philips. Learn more about our commitment to diversity and inclusion **here**. #LI-PH1
