Identification and intervention in signs of urgency/emergency ###### **Rio de Janeiro, RJ****The company accepts applications from candidates residing in Rio de Janeiro and nearby cities** ###### **Technician** ###### **To be determined** ###### **CLT employment regime** **Job Details** -------------------- **Requirements:** --------------- * Education: Completed High School + Technical Nursing Course. * Active and valid COREN-RJ registration. * Experience in emergency department routines. **Responsibilities:** --------------- * Complete the Basic Life Support (BLS) course according to the unit’s schedule. * Provide comprehensive patient care, supporting the patient and their family’s adaptation to the hospital environment. * Develop and implement actions aimed at establishing a bond with the patient, fostering an amicable relationship and effective communication to support clinical care activities. * Follow institutional protocols and routines. * Perform low-complexity technical procedures or those specific to the position. * Identify and intervene in signs and symptoms of urgency/emergency and clinical deterioration, notifying the nurse and physician as needed. * Assist the nurse and/or physician in caring for high-complexity patients (e.g., trauma, sepsis, myocardial infarction, stroke, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis, etc.). * Perform interventions on demand, based on hemodynamic findings interpreted by the nurse. * Transport low-complexity patients internally or externally. * Identify risks related to the patient’s health and treatment, and notify the nurse and/or physician so they may be mitigated. * Follow the nursing care plan developed by the nurse for patients expected to be hospitalized or remain in the unit for 12 hours or longer. * Document and ensure accurate transfer of patient-related information across shifts. * Assist in implementing the educational plan for patients and their families expected to be hospitalized or remain in the unit for 12 hours or longer. * Maintain up-to-date technical and professional knowledge through participation in institutional and external training programs. * Participate in continuous education trainings, ensuring compliance with institutional standards, routines, and policies. * Use appropriate language when communicating with patients and families. * Record and update, in the medical record, information regarding the patient’s health status and procedures performed.
