Responsibilities and Activities: * Serve as the master functional focal point for procurement systems, ensuring alignment among processes, business rules, internal policies, controls, and system configurations. * Support the Coupa platform as the primary procurement system at an advanced functional level, including configuration, approval workflows, business rules, catalogs, supplier management, integrations, and functional administration. * Complementarily support the functional maintenance of SAP MM S4HANA, ensuring adherence to procurement processes, controls, integrations, and audit requirements. * Lead Coupa platform releases functionally, including impact analysis, scope definition, execution and coordination of functional testing, production validation, user communication, and post-release stabilization support. * Analyze SAP MM and Coupa releases and enhancements, evaluating risks, operational impacts, technical dependencies, and compliance with current policies and controls. * Administer, review, and validate access rights and user roles in SAP and Coupa, ensuring segregation of duties, compliance, traceability, and readiness for internal and external audits. * Execute, document, and monitor SOX and non-SOX controls related to procurement systems—including access controls, system changes, evidence collection, and periodic reviews. * Investigate recurring incidents and systemic issues, conduct root cause analyses, and propose structural solutions in partnership with IT and technology vendors. * Develop functional specifications, support the improvement backlog, and participate in prioritizing system-related requests based on risk, operational impact, and business value. * Act as a mature functional-technical interface with IT and vendors, capable of independently discussing configurations, integrations, technical limitations, and alternative solutions without exclusive reliance on technical teams. * Support training sessions, clarify complex queries, communicate changes, and assist key procurement users. * Contribute to governance, curation, and compliance of procurement systems with corporate standards, policies, and regulations. * Support, as prioritized by the Center of Excellence (CoE), the functional maintenance and governance of satellite systems within the Vale Base Metals (VBM) procurement ecosystem—such as catalog, analytics, onboarding, risk, or integration solutions—according to each tool’s maturity level.
