Our journey toward becoming one of the largest regional companies in the tire retail sector began on September 7, 1972, with the opening of "Borracharia Nossa Senhora Aparecida". Located in São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of São Paulo State, it was owned by Mr. Orestes Zanfolin (formerly a bus driver) and initially employed only one person. Later, the shop was handed over to his youngest son. In 1979, a shop named "Borracharia do Cacau" was acquired in the Boa Vista neighborhood, also employing just one staff member. From these two establishments, in April 1985, the company Silcar Pneus Ltda. was founded—using the initials of the names Silvio and Carlos—initially trading new, retreaded, and used tires. In 1988, our own tire retreading plant was inaugurated, also located in São José do Rio Preto. With imported machinery and strict attention to carcass quality and other raw materials, our final product gained strong market acceptance and high quality standards, making the group increasingly competitive and structured. At the beginning of the 1990s, our focus shifted to opening and acquiring retail stores and delivering services through our automotive centers, always partnering with multinational tire manufacturers operating in Brazil for branding and distribution—starting with Pirelli, followed by Michelin, and currently Continental. In subsequent years, Silcar Pneus expanded its product portfolio, consolidating its presence in the heavy-duty and agricultural tire markets. Gradually, we began serving not only large truck fleets but also independent truck drivers who keep our country moving, and entered the truck tire retreading segment via a specialized plant located in Araraquara. Within the agricultural tire segment, we facilitate supply to selected implementers and serve Brazilian farmers directly. We feel honored to contribute, in any way possible, to the Brazilian agribusiness sector. Today, the Silcar Pneus Group operates 27 retail stores across the states of São Paulo, Goiás, and Mato Grosso do Sul; a Truck Center in Marília-SP; nearly 300 employees working daily to deliver service at the highest quality standard; a retreading plant in Araraquara equipped with some of the most modern equipment in the industry; and wholesale distribution of light and heavy tires through warehouses located in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Mato Grosso do Sul.
