Focus on employee well-being with comprehensive support **We are BHS!** **With 30 years of experience in the market, we deliver modern IT solutions.** **We are recognized as the BEST company to work for in MG and in BRAZIL by GPTW — Great Place to Work**, and ranked among the top five **best companies to work for in the LGBTQIA+ and Ethnic-Racial categories**, demonstrating our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. **What do we expect from you?** * Ability to build relationships with people across different departments and hierarchical levels; * Self-management; * Collaboration; * Proactivity and willingness to operate outside your comfort zone; * Someone eager to join extraordinary projects and highly motivated to learn, teach, and grow alongside BHS. **Responsibilities and Duties** Your responsibilities will include: * Designing and implementing decision and recommendation models to increase engagement, recirculation, and revenue—delivering personalized recommendations and actionable insights for editorial and advertising teams, supported by rigorous experimentation. * Developing and enhancing recommendation models (ranking, collaborative, content/NLP, hybrid). * Defining and operating an experimentation framework (A/B, holdout, editorial quality guardrails). * Building insight systems for editorial teams: performance forecasting, trend analysis, emerging topics, update recommendations, and distribution optimization. * Generating intelligence for advertising: contextual segmentation, engagement propensity, impact on viewability/RPM. * Working with audience and content data (BigQuery) and collaborating with Data Engineering to define features. * Monitoring model performance, data/model drift, and side effects (diversity, repetition, saturation, quality). * Documenting models, criteria, and results for stakeholders (product, editorial, commercial). **Requirements and Qualifications** We are looking for someone who has: * Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or related fields; * Strong foundation in applied statistics and ML (classification, ranking, recommendation); * Experience with Python (pandas/sklearn or equivalents) and SQL; * Experience with experimentation and measurement (A/B testing, metrics, statistical significance, trade-offs); * Familiarity with behavioral data (sessions, clicks, time spent, retention); * Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with engineering/product/editorial teams; * Availability for hybrid work (2 days per week) in BH and Region. **Preferred Qualifications:** * NLP/embeddings for journalistic content; * Contextual bandits / reinforcement learning in recommendation; * MLOps (training pipelines, versioning, monitoring). **Additional Information** **What can you expect from us?** At BHS, your well-being is our top priority.
