Join us!** Serve as the accountable party for the architecture, administration, and evolution of corporate database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, scalability, and service continuity—supporting critical business systems and strategic digital transformation initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** -------------------------------- ### **Database Architecture and Management** * Define the technical architecture of database environments (on-premises, cloud, and hybrid). * Plan capacity planning, sizing, and growth strategy. * Design high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) architectures. * Define versioning, patching, and upgrade standards for DBMSs. ### **Administration, Performance, and Operations** * Administer critical database environments (production, staging, and development). * Perform advanced query, index, and data structure tuning. * Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA). * Define and monitor performance, availability, and capacity KPIs. ### **Security, Compliance, and Governance** * Define database security policies (encryption, masking, access controls, auditing). * Implement access controls and role-based segregation of duties. * Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements (LGPD, SOX, internal audits). * Support technical and compliance audits. ### **Cloud, Hybrid, and Modernization** * Design and operate cloud-based databases (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL, Azure Managed Instance, Google Cloud SQL, etc.). * Support migrations from on-premises databases to cloud. * Define standards for managed databases (DBaaS) and automation. ### **Backup, Recovery, and Continuity** * Define backup, restore, and retention strategies. * Conduct periodic recovery tests (DR tests). * Ensure RPO/RTO alignment with business requirements. ### **Technical Governance and Best Practices** * Define data modeling and schema versioning standards. * Implement automation (scripts, pipelines, Infrastructure as Code where applicable). * Support development teams with best practices for database access and performance. * Serve as the technical reference (N3) for operations teams. **Technical Requirements (Hard Skills)** ------------------------------------- * Solid experience as a **Senior DBA / Database Specialist / Database Architect**. * Proficiency in one or more enterprise DBMSs: + Oracle Database + Microsoft SQL Server + SAP HANA + PostgreSQL + MySQL/MariaDB * Strong experience with: + High availability (Always On, RAC, Replication, Clustering) + Disaster recovery + Performance tuning + Backup and restore * Experience with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Knowledge of automation tools (PowerShell, Shell Script, Terraform, Ansible — preferred). **Academic Qualifications and Certifications** ----------------------------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. * Desired certifications: + Oracle OCP + Microsoft SQL Server + SAP HANA + Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) **Behavioral Competencies (Soft Skills)** ---------------------------------------------- * Strong sense of accountability for critical environments. * Ability to handle high-severity incidents. * Excellent technical communication skills and ability to engage with business areas. * Analytical, organized, and stability-oriented profile. * Capacity for technical leadership and mentoring. **Desirable Qualifications (Nice to Have)** ------------------------------- * Experience in industrial, logistics, energy, or utilities environments. * Hands-on experience in modernization and cloud migration projects. * Knowledge of Data Platform, Data Warehousing, and Big Data. * Experience with SAP environments integrated with large-scale databases.
