A chemical industry company in Porto Alegre is seeking a professional with the following qualifications: Desired profile: · Fluent English; · Completed university degree; · Full capacity to negotiate with foreign suppliers; · Understanding of international market systems and characteristic standards; · Strong ability to understand the company’s and the overall market’s economic and seasonal trends, to ensure greater accuracy in procurement direction; · Strategic thinking; · Ability to organize and structure the international procurement department; · Prior international living experience is a plus; Main responsibilities: · Based on internal demand understanding, ensure fulfillment of internal direct material procurement needs, always seeking the best cost-benefit ratio (price; delivery time; product and service quality); · Develop and propose, for internal discussion, procurement guidelines for the budget period; · Prepare procurement budgets for annual “budget” construction; · Lead negotiations within the categories in which the company operates; · Identify opportunities with suppliers and internal customers through process improvements, specifications, and new technologies; · Prospect the supplier market, staying updated on trends, seeking to enhance the company’s competitiveness with higher-quality options and more attractive pricing.
