Job Summary: The professional will be responsible for managing the library's bibliographic collection, user services, research promotion, and integrating library services into academic activities. Promotion of cultural events and encouragement of reading **Responsibilities and Duties:** Ensure preservation, conservation, and sanitation of the physical bibliographic materials of the Higher Education Institution (HEI); Control and manage loan, return, renewal, and reservation processes for materials; Classify and organize physical materials in accordance with current library science technical standards; Promote continuous user training for effective use of the Virtual Library, including training on academic databases, institutional repositories, and academic research tools; Support the scientific and academic production of the university community by providing guidance on document standardization, open access, copyright, and bibliographic references; Organize cultural events, thematic exhibitions, and initiatives to encourage reading and critical use of information; Provide courteous, empathetic, and efficient user service, resolving inquiries and guiding users on library resources; Stay updated on technological innovations and trends in university libraries and information services; Collaborate with pedagogical teams and course coordinations to integrate library services into academic activities. **Requirements and Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree in Library Science with active registration at the Regional Council of Library Science (CRB); Proven experience in public service, preferably in a university environment; Experience in technical library activities and management of physical and digital collections; Solid knowledge of academic databases, virtual libraries, and digital repositories; Familiarity with library management software (e.g., Pergamum); Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to conduct training sessions and presentations; Proactivity, organizational skills, flexibility, and strong teamwork capabilities; Desirable knowledge of information literacy methodologies and information mediation. **Minimum Educational Requirement:** Bachelor's Degree
