This role is ideal for someone with strong U.S. accounting experience who thrives working independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial work. **Key Responsibilities:** **General Accounting \& Bookkeeping** * Own and manage day\-to\-day accounting for both companies * Maintain accurate general ledger and chart of accounts * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements * Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable * Process employee reimbursements and vendor payments **Month\-End \& Reporting** * Prepare monthly financial reports for the leadership team * Assist with budgeting and expense tracking * Support cash flow monitoring and forecasts * Maintain organized documentation of financial records **Tax \& Compliance** * Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings (including state, federal, and franchise taxes) * Maintain compliance with IRS and state\-level reporting requirements * Liaise with external CPA or legal advisors as needed for audits or filings * Track and renew necessary business registrations and licenses **Process Improvement** * Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and internal controls * Help integrate and optimize tools such as QuickBooks, ADP, or Connecteam (if applicable) * Support implementation of any future finance\-related tools or tech **Organizational Improvement Initiative (First 6–12 Months):** In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the successful candidate will dedicate the first 3–6 months to conducting a thorough observation and analysis of current organizational processes and departmental efficiencies.
