Position: Surgical Instrument Technician
Department: Surgical Center
Workload: 180 hours
Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM – rotating 12x36 schedule
Job Mission:
A surgical instrument technician is responsible for organizing and positioning instruments in the operating room, providing them to surgeons upon request, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, reducing infection risks, and positively impacting patient safety promotion.
Requirements:
Completed Technical Nursing course;
Surgical Instrumentation course or proven experience in this role for at least one year;
Active COREN registration.
