About the position **Required education:** Bachelor’s degree in Library Science; postgraduate studies in School Library Management or Literature are preferred. **Requirements and preferences:** Knowledge of and experience in managing public and school libraries; Knowledge of and experience in technical collection preparation; Experience in literary reading mediation projects is preferred; Active registration with the Regional Council of Library Science (CRB); National Driver’s License Category B. **Your daily responsibilities will include:** Monitoring and delivering library services while tracking productivity statistics; hiring artists and organizing literary mediation events; providing technical support to other institutional departments. Promoting and disseminating library-related events and supervising service teams. Conducting technical visits to units within the operational hub. Organizing, implementing, and evaluating library-related activities. Planning and developing cultural projects with a focus on literary mediation. Preparing and grading tests; selecting library service staff; Training and guiding library service staff; registering users and managing system access controls. Supervising Library Science interns. Preparing reports related to collection management, services, and projects. Hiring consultants and service providers. Collaborating on the development of service and procedure manuals... Monitoring the implementation of goals and budgets for systematic library project work plans; Developing action plans, proposals for promoting library services and projects, and seeking partnerships; Managing the collection—including selection, acquisition, technical processing (classification, cataloging, indexing), conservation, withdrawal, and inventory; Controlling collection circulation; guiding registration and loan rules; managing service protocols for school groups and the general public; monitoring overdue item rates; Providing library user services for consultation and borrowing; Promoting and facilitating reading promotion activities for all audiences (children, youth, adults, seniors, people with disabilities). ⏰ Working hours 44 hours per week Availability for travel; Availability to work some weekends.
