Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimization. **Job Description** On-site position at the Gravataí/RS plant. Ensure the **availability, reliability, and quality** of stamping tools used in the Gravataí Stamping Plant’s production process by performing corrective and preventive maintenance and continuous improvements, aligned with the plant’s safety, quality, and GMS standards. **Responsibilities:** * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on dies, fixtures, and tooling in the stamping plant. * Conduct assembly, disassembly, adjustments, repairs, and inspections of tools to ensure proper production readiness. * Diagnose mechanical failures and wear on dies, proposing and implementing technical improvement solutions. * Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications for tools and components. * Support the Production team in analyzing quality issues related to tooling by identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures. * Comply with and uphold safety, environmental, and area organization requirements (5S, PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, etc.). * Maintain and update GMS routines, maintenance records, failure histories, and action plans related to tooling. * Contribute improvement ideas for extending tool life, reducing downtime, and optimizing die setup. * Collaborate with other Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure technical alignment and priority execution. **ATTENTION: Please remember to attach your resume with an active email address.** **Required Qualifications:** * Completed high school education; * Training and/or prior experience as a toolmaker (cutting, bending, drawing, progressive, or similar dies); * Knowledge of metrology and ability to read and interpret technical drawings; * Experience with basic machining (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, welding applied to tool repair); * Basic knowledge of machine and equipment safety and good industrial practices; * Availability to work any shift, including weekends if required; * On-site work at the Gravataí/RS plant. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or related fields; * Prior experience in automotive stamping or large-scale manufacturing; * Familiarity with GMS or equivalent lean manufacturing systems; * Participation in continuous improvement projects (kaizen, SMED, scrap reduction); * Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with strong communication skills and results orientation. \&\#xa;\&\#xa;\&\#xa;\&\#xa; **About GM** Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all. **Why Join Us** We believe we all must make a choice every day – individually and collectively – to drive meaningful change through our words, our deeds and our culture.
