Support to the human resources management department A professional responsible for ensuring occupational safety in compliance with legal requirements and best practices, while also serving as a support to the human resources management department. This role promotes an organizational environment that is safe, healthy, and collaborative, contributing both to accident prevention and to the development of internal policies focused on organizational culture, workplace climate, and employee support. 1\. Manage Risk Prevention and Identification Programs, as required by current legislation, aiming to prevent occupational risks and protect employees' health. 2\. Conduct training sessions (e.g., onboarding, job function changes, refresher courses, etc.) to ensure continuous employee capacity building, guaranteeing that all staff comply with the company's and legislation's established safety standards. 3\. Distribute and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring employees are properly equipped with items necessary to protect against workplace hazards, while also monitoring their distribution and usage. 4\. Conduct monthly inspections along designated routes and within the work environment to assess safety conditions, identify and correct potential hazards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 5\. Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure they are in appropriate operating and safety conditions, performing preventive maintenance when necessary, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. 6\. File the Work Accident Report (CAT) when required, registering any work-related accident per current legislation and implementing necessary follow-up measures. 7\. Investigate work accidents to identify root causes and propose corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence and improve working conditions. 8\. Assist in preparing technical reports related to occupational safety, such as the Technical Report on Working Environmental Conditions (LTCAT), reports on unhealthy or hazardous working conditions, and other documents mandated by legislation. 9\. Plan and coordinate the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPAT) Week, promoting awareness-raising and educational activities on workplace safety. 10\. Implement and monitor the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA), ensuring its proper functioning and collaboration in developing preventive actions and improving working conditions. 11\. Perform other duties related to this field of expertise, as directed by the EMPLOYER, always within the scope of responsibilities and regulatory requirements for the Occupational Safety Technician position.
