Active use of generative AIs to accelerate deliveries About the Challenge We seek a professional to operate in the travel content integration market, connecting our platform with global industry leaders. This means that, on a daily basis, you will interact with a complex ecosystem: from legacy systems still communicating via SOAP/XML to modern PHP microservices (Laravel/Hyperf) running on AWS. We seek a professional unafraid to “roll up their sleeves” to untangle integration bottlenecks, refactor legacy code—and simultaneously possess an architect’s vision to evolve this infrastructure toward a DDD- and Event-driven environment. Main Responsibilities (What You’ll Actually Do) **Architecture and Evolution:** Design and evolve microservices using DDD (Aggregates, Domain Events, and Bounded Contexts), ensuring decoupling between legacy systems and new application frontiers. **Complex Integrations (The Differentiator):** Build and maintain connectors with global providers. This includes consuming RESTful APIs, as well as SOAP/XML with WSDL and webhooks—handling data transformation and mapping across divergent standards. **Performance and Concurrency:** Design routines that consume data from multiple providers simultaneously. You must master parallelism techniques (e.g., Guzzle Promises / async requests) to respect strict timeout windows. **Observability and Monitoring:** Implement and maintain production system health using established market tools such as Sentry, Datadog, New Relic, or ELK. **Asynchronous Messaging:** Orchestrate long-running processes using queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka) for notification processing, email dispatching, and hotel catalog synchronization. **Legacy Rescue (Brownfield):** Work in an environment where test culture is still evolving. Your mission is to implement the testing pyramid (unit, integration, and E2E tests) in legacy projects—prioritizing the most business-critical areas without blocking the team. **AI Partnership:** Use generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) daily to accelerate writing of repetitive code, create refactoring plans, and increase individual and team productivity (we already have proven gains of up to 80%). Mandatory Requirements **Solid Backend:** +4 years of experience with PHP (versions 7\.x to 8\.x) and advanced proficiency in Laravel (or Hyperf/Symfony). Proven experience with version migrations. **Specific Integrations:** Mandatory experience consuming SOAP (XML) and RESTful (JSON) APIs. We need someone who knows how to handle SoapClient, XML parsing, and complex authentication. **Architecture and DDD:** Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and architectural patterns (Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture). Ability to distinguish Aggregates, Domain Events, and Bounded Contexts in practice. **Messaging and Queues:** Proven experience with messaging tools (SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka). **Parallelism:** Knowledge of asynchronous and parallel calls (e.g., Promises in PHP/Guzzle) to optimize integration performance. **Observability:** Proficiency with specific monitoring tools such as Sentry, Datadog, New Relic, or ELK Stack (structured logs, distributed tracing, and metrics). **Databases:** Proficiency in MySQL (schema design and query optimization) and experience with Redis for caching and concurrency control (locks). **Cloud:** Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3\) and containerization using Docker. **Quality and Testing:** Experience with PHPUnit/Pest and ability to structure the testing pyramid in brownfield (legacy) projects. **AI in Daily Work:** Open mindset and active use of generative AIs (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate deliveries and solve problems. Desirable Knowledge Knowledge of Go, Node.js (NestJS), or Python for complementary services. Experience with Vue.js or Next.js (for collaboration with frontend). AWS certifications or experience with orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS). **Profile:** **Communicative and Collaborative:** Ability to discuss technical trade-offs with Product Owners and engineers from other stacks (integration with .NET is a plus). **Technology Enthusiast:** Willingness to learn new stacks—and especially to share knowledge about AI and best practices with the rest of the team.
