Job Summary: Responsible for operating the cash register, serving customers, scanning products, processing payments, and assisting with product organization and restocking. Key Responsibilities: 1. Direct customer service and payment processing 2. Product organization and pricing 3. Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace · Organize and sanitize checkout areas and work materials; · Serve customers; · Weigh merchandise on scales; · Scan each item to compute the total amount; · Receive customer payments (cash bills, coins, credit/debit cards, checks); · Return change to customers; · Issue fiscal receipts; · Close the cash register and organize cards by acquirer (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other cards) and checks; · Assume responsibility for any cash shortage in case of discrepancies; · Assist with packaging merchandise when necessary; · Assist with restocking merchandise on shelves; · Clean counters, gondolas, and merchandise with a cloth before display; · Identify damaged products and forward them to the Exchange Department; · Price products; · Perform other related tasks.
