**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** Smurfit Westrock, one of the world’s largest paper and packaging companies, is seeking a professional to join our Forklift Operator team at our Uberaba, MG facility, in an on-site role. The professional will be responsible for operating forklifts safely to stack and position materials while safeguarding their integrity. **Responsibilities and Duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** 1\. **Drive** the forklift, operating its travel and steering controls **in order to** position it for material pickup or unloading and feeding into the production process; 2\. **Pick up** the load by inserting it onto the base, forks, or lifting platform, raising it **to** transport it to the designated location; 3\. **Drive** the forklift while observing safety regulations **to** transport the collected load; 4\. **Maneuver** the forklift, adjusting the forks or lifting platform to the required height **to** place the load onto the floor or feed it into the production process; 5\. **Ensure** the forklift’s maintenance **in order to** keep the equipment in good working condition; 6\. **Perform** a CHECK LIST at each shift change, **ensuring** the forklift is in perfect working condition; 7\. **Carry out** activities in accordance with GP LUP – Safe Forklift Operation Procedure; 8\. **Organize** and perform cleaning of your work area **in order to** maintain appropriate working conditions and safety in line with Good Manufacturing Practices. **Requirements and Qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** * Completed high school education * Driver’s license, Category B * NR-11 Certification (Forklift Operation) **Additional Information** **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion facilities and 62 paper mills.
