




**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** Someone to join our **Engineering** team at the **Uberaba** unit, on-site format, with availability to relocate to the Central-West region (Goiás or Mato Grosso). The candidate will be responsible for the structured and systematic management of industrial projects across various engineering disciplines, aimed at growth, expansion, improvements, and technological modernization of the Corrugated Division, ensuring they are executed and implemented according to required regulatory standards (NRs and technical and safety standards from Smurfit Westrock), with technical quality, within expected timelines and budgets. **Responsibilities and duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** * Execute project planning, supporting the preparation of Scopes, development of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and defining project management plans (Risk Management; Communication Management; Scope Management; Schedule Management; Quality Management; Human Resource Management; Budget Management, among others); * Coordinate, plan, develop, and control all activities related to new projects throughout all execution phases: feasibility studies; conceptual engineering, basic engineering, and detailed and installation engineering, providing high-tech solutions and ensuring all necessary information for new projects is available; * Develop projects and supervise construction and assembly services using internal resources or specialized companies, depending on the size, complexity, and required disciplines for each project; * Maintain direct contact with engineering firms supporting new project execution and control the distribution of engineering documents issued for internal reviews, ensuring each project is executed with expected quality and complies with engineering standards recommended by Smurfit Westrock and Brazilian and/or international regulations; * Schedule and monitor engineering services together with business unit teams; * When requested, supervise field assembly services, preparing physical execution schedules for projects, monitoring progress of execution activities, controlling involved teams and associated project risks, seeking alternatives to mitigate their impacts, managing communication and possible conflicts among project stakeholders; * Specify and support the procurement department in acquiring equipment, materials, and services. Monitor material and equipment quotation processes, participate in technical and commercial alignment meetings, attend supplier meetings, participate in decision-making for supplier selection, support issuing new contracts, monitor delivery schedules of new acquisitions, and coordinate receipt and storage of materials and equipment received for new project installations; * Monitor projected and actual budgets for each project. Track each project's physical-financial progress, monitor monthly expenditures, update each project's disbursement controls, and prepare budgets to support DCF issuance for new projects; * Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations by analyzing environmental conditions, guiding and supervising third parties during activities; * Issue monthly management reports tracking projects, including updates on Budget, Quality, and Physical Progress, as well as Project Closure Reports, disseminating Lessons Learned and summaries of project control pillars (Schedule, Cost, Quality, and Scope compliance); * Perform other related duties and follow work process procedures as needed. **Requirements and qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** * Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields; * Technical degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering will be an advantage, as well as courses in the corrugated sector; * Desirable training in Routine Management or Project Management; * Experience in developing basic and executive engineering projects, with knowledge of FEL methodology; * Experience implementing medium to large-scale projects in the corrugated board industry; * Knowledge of national and international standards; * Intermediate English proficiency; * Proficiency in Office Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD. **Additional Information** **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion operations and 62 paper mills.
