Serve as the team’s technical reference, supporting modern architectures. **Data Scientist (Generative AI)** ====================================== TOTVS | São Paulo - SP | Remote Job Description Responsible for developing machine learning algorithms and Generative AI solutions to improve, automate, and innovate decision-making based on operational and strategic data for internal and external customers. Responsibilities and Duties * Work on highly complex problems while ensuring project delivery quality standards; * Lead initiatives and develop solutions using Generative Artificial Intelligence (LLMs), exploring new use cases to create value; * Develop classical Machine Learning algorithms and Deep Learning models leveraging available data to solve the proposed problem; * Ensure data reliability by performing cleaning and preprocessing so that data is suitable for predictive and generative models; * Analyze available data from both business and statistical perspectives; * Evaluate results to ensure model generalizability and accuracy; * Serve as the team’s technical reference, supporting implementation of modern architectures (e.g., RAG – Retrieval-Augmented Generation); * Drive tool and process improvements to optimize project delivery and the day-to-day work of Data Scientists; * Maintain best practices in data science and promote a Data-Centric / Data-Driven philosophy across the company; * Ensure delivery quality by thoroughly understanding the problem and identifying necessary data through interviews with clients and subject-matter experts. Requirements and Qualifications * LLMs (Transformers), Prompt Engineering techniques, Fine-tuning, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation); * Advanced-level Machine Learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering) and Statistics; * Python programming language (proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, LangChain/LlamaIndex); * Advanced-level SQL databases; * Experience with BigQuery; * Familiarity with NoSQL and Vector Databases (Vector DBs) is desirable; * Experience developing and deploying models via REST APIs; * Software development practices including version control (Git), debugging, deployment, and code maintenance.
