As a Fiber Optic Technician, you will be responsible for the following tasks: reading project drawings and laying cables, splicing metallic and optical cables, and performing fiber optic fusion. The ideal candidate must have completed high school and possess proven experience in this field. Additionally, a valid Class B driver's license is required, and full availability for work hours and travel across the entire Brazilian territory is mandatory. Responsibilities of the Fiber Optic Technician include laying cables in the field according to project specifications; installing optical and copper cables in ducts and on poles; performing fiber optic fusion both in the field and using specialized equipment; replacing or repairing damaged cables; and conducting quality tests on optical fibers. Other critical aspects include clear and consistent communication with the project team and accurate documentation of all work performed. The ideal candidate should be committed, organized, and self-motivated. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Equally important are strong interpersonal skills, as frequent collaboration with professionals from other disciplines—such as engineers, network technicians, and clients—is required.
