Component recovery and performance testing **Senior Maintenance Mechanic – Refurbishment Focus** **Position Summary:** Perform complete disassembly, wear assessment, recovery, and reassembly of industrial machines and equipment. The focus is on restoring (or improving) original performance conditions through technical component replacement and fine adjustments. **Key Responsibilities:** * **General Overhaul:** Perform full disassembly of mechanical assemblies, technical cleaning, and diagnosis of condemned parts. * **Mechanical Adjustment:** Execute precision adjustments, such as scraping of machine ways, alignment of linear guides, and leveling of bases. * **Component Recovery:** Assess and replace bearings, seals, gears, ball screws, and transmission systems. * **Fluid Systems:** Inspect and refurbish cylinders, valves, and pumps in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * **Performance Testing:** Conduct bench tests and monitor *startup* after refurbishment to ensure compliance with design specifications. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * **Education:** Completed Technical Course in Mechanics or Electromechanics. * **Experience:** Proven experience in machine refurbishment (e.g., lathes, presses, injection molding machines, or packaging lines). * **Technical Skills:** * Proficiency in metrology (micrometer, dial indicator, height gauge). * Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Use of bench tools and basic machine tools (drill presses, hydraulic presses). * **Preferred Qualification:** Knowledge of welding processes for part recovery and basic industrial painting.
