This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in DBR9\-DS(Osasco,BR) and does not offer relocation benefits. Candidates must be located in and legally authorized to work in Brazil to be eligible for consideration.
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is fundamental to our operations \- they keep critical machinery running continuously. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding the highest standards of Health and Safety. You will help keep your colleagues safe and prevent machine downtime. Our RME Technicians increase equipment availability and quality, and also work to improve the operational environment.
Key job responsibilities
Assist in maintenance and upkeep of building facilities, including masonry, electrical, and plumbing systems, performing repairs and fixes.
Perform proactive and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of site equipment.
Carry out civil maintenance routines, including minor floor and wall repairs, painting, plumbing, and pneumatic services.
Conduct reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in an operating distribution center.
Use the latest systemic tools to maximize equipment effectiveness.
Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices.
Support the development and progression of apprentices onsite.
Work on continuous improvement projects and implement best practices across multiple sites in Brazil.
A day in the life
Our RME Technicians are site-based so they can respond rapidly to any machinery issues. You will perform a series of planned preventive maintenance activities on our site equipment to ensure safe operation. As an RME Technician, you will also promptly respond to breakdowns, investigating, identifying, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You will also propose long-term improvements.
Working alongside more experienced colleagues, you will carry out daily maintenance tasks and liaise with contractors when external expertise is required. You may work various shifts to ensure our sites are supported 24/7 \- enabling Amazon to deliver at the speed for which we are known.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment operating at peak performance. We are a technically minded team composed of excellent team players and led by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of distribution centers. Some of our people are leaders who supervise teams while working with exciting technology \- some of which exists only at Amazon.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general site maintenance and repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most technical aspects of Amazon. This includes ensuring buildings comply with legal requirements, guaranteeing everyone’s safety, and ensuring our sites operate at maximum efficiency. There are many opportunities for advancement both within the RME team and more broadly across Amazon.
We work to reduce downtime at Amazon’s critical operational sites so customers receive their orders on time. If we identify a better way to do something, we have the skills and opportunity to develop and introduce entirely new processes or cutting-edge technologies.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
------------------------
* Experience with scheduled preventive maintenance systems
* Experience with mechanical and/or electrical maintenance tasks
* Experience troubleshooting conveyor systems (MHE: Material Handling Equipment) and automation
* Strategic thinking to solve problems
* Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts/work areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

* Fluency in English.
* Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
* Experience conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures
* Experience with equipment safety standards for Material Handling Equipment (MHE), per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and safety regulations
