**About the challenge:** * Define and develop strategic and tactical plans for the Business Unit (BU) to maintain current data and acquire new data. * Collect and analyze data in reports, including declared revenue, project tracking, capital expenditure (capex), operational expenses (opex), and actual revenue versus Mergers & Acquisitions (M\&A). * Build and maintain reference resources for the data library. * Lead the M\&A process and due diligence. * Proactively identify and research new data sources; conduct vendor reliability assessments, data quality studies, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring. * Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and make policy-guided decisions in non-standard situations impacting achievement of customer, operational, and/or project objectives. * Be responsible for gathering marketing and competitive intelligence. * Develop and maintain standard models for internal/external message communication—including analytical reports. * Produce executive-level communications on initiative status, both internally and externally. * Apply deep subject-matter expertise to formulate data execution plans aimed at identifying and delivering data aligned with the published data roadmap. * Develop and maintain the engagement model among Sales, Consulting, and the Center of Excellence (COE) to drive efficiency in project execution, including maintenance and user support for tools used by Data & Analytics (D\&A) to engage stakeholders and track projects. * Leverage data experience and expertise to develop and negotiate complex contracts and data agreements that enable commercial, customer, operational, and project success. * Assist the business unit in prioritizing initiatives with the most significant impact and, as requested, share this knowledge in annual Budget and Strategy Playbook processes. * Build and maintain reference resources for the data library. * Lead a small team in developing plans to help vendors address data quality outcomes, issues, and opportunities. **Requirements:** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, IT, Statistics). * Experience: Data management, acquisition, analysis, or related functions, with leadership experience. * Technical: Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and programming languages (Python/R), plus knowledge of data quality and privacy. * Skills: Strong contract negotiation skills, strategic thinking to identify new data sources, and excellent executive communication.
