A neurosurgeon physician to provide humanized medical care, conduct examinations, perform interventions for vascular and tumoral pathologies of the nervous system, and monitor patient progress.

Description:
1\- Specialist Qualification Registration (RQE) with the Regional Medical Council as a Neurosurgeon, or protocol for application of such registration;
OR
2\- Specialist Title in Neurosurgery issued by the Brazilian Neurosurgical Association / Brazilian Medical Association;
OR
3\- Certificate and/or declaration confirming completion of, or enrollment from the 4th year onward in, a residency or medical specialization program in Neurosurgery accredited by the Ministry of Education (MEC), and/or Neurosurgery specialization programs accredited by the Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery (SBN).
* Provide humanized medical care;
* Conduct medical history taking and physical examination, requesting complementary tests when necessary, establishing diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and interventions;
* Perform activities pertinent to the medical specialty: surgical vascular pathologies (cerebral aneurysm, cerebral and spinal arteriovenous malformation), tumors of the central and peripheral nervous systems, traumatic and degenerative spinal diseases, compressive disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems;
* Accurately record patient information in the medical record according to institutional standards and those stipulated by the Unified Health System (SUS);
* Routinely and frequently provide patients and their families with information regarding diagnosis and treatment, whenever necessary;
* Monitor patient progress;
* Identify patient-related complications;
* Refer patients to the healthcare network to ensure continuity of care;
* Implement disease prevention and health promotion initiatives;
* Prepare and complete routine administrative and medical documentation;
* Conduct medical expert evaluations, audits, and investigations;
* Provide technical accountability for work before the professional council;
* Support coordination activities;
* Observe ethical principles throughout professional practice;
* Participate in collegiate bodies when requested, contributing to discussions and resolutions on relevant matters;
* Assist in gathering data, monitoring, and meeting indicators and targets outlined in departmental action plans;
* Fulfill institutional requests to serve as Preceptor, Tutor, Lecturer, and/or Coordinator in teaching activities;
* Participate, together with the multidisciplinary team, in meetings, committees, health surveillance programs, biosafety, hospital epidemiology, and accident prevention initiatives, contributing as required within the scope of professional competence;
* Support hospital coordinations on matters inherent to the area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities to inform decisions on actions to be adopted and assist in continuous improvement of departmental processes;
* Participate in the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applying them in daily practice;
* Participate in, or act as facilitator for, Permanent Education initiatives as required and per institutional policy, within the scope of professional activities;
* Maintain responsibility for materials and equipment under one's supervision, ensuring proper usage to extend their service life;
* Perform duties observing occupational safety requirements, correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all activities, complying with current legislation and institutional regulations;
* Support the immediate supervisor on matters inherent to the area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities to inform decisions on actions to be adopted and assist in continuous improvement of departmental processes;
* Perform other related tasks of equivalent difficulty level upon request of the immediate supervisor.
