Join Xodó de Minas and become part of our team! **Position: Quality Technician – Shop Floor** **Description** Ensure stability and standardization of production processes by operating directly on the shop floor, conducting technical analyses, leading non-conformity handling, and integrating information among Production, PCP (Production Control and Planning), Procurement, and Sales—with a focus on waste reduction, compliance, and customer satisfaction. **Main Responsibilities / Activities – Quality and Process Management** * Monitor and analyze critical parameters (grammage, yield, standardization, losses) * Conduct product and process analysis during production * Identify deviations and lead technical corrective actions * Perform batch hold/release when necessary * Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal standards * Apply quality tools (PDCA, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, 5W2H, MASP) * Lead root cause analysis * Work with basic SPC (Statistical Process Control): mean, range, trend * Monitor KPIs for: * Scrap * Rework * Waste * Customer complaints * Process stability (SPC/Cp/Cpk/OEE – preferred) * Implementation of static controls and analyses * Train factory staff on control execution and data reporting * Lead Quality meetings and root cause analysis sessions **Cross-Functional Interface** * **Production:** guide process adjustments and standardization * **PCP (Production Control and Planning):** report holds, deviations, and impacts on scheduling * **Procurement:** evaluate raw material and supplier quality * **Sales:** provide technical support for complaints and returns **Mandatory Technical Requirements** * Experience in industrial quality * Practical experience on the shop floor * Solid knowledge of quality tools * Intermediate/advanced Excel proficiency * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) * Experience analyzing KPIs **Important Differentiators (for your type of operation)** * Experience in food industry * Grammage and yield control * Knowledge of HACCP * Experience with audits (internal or external) * Familiarity with ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000 **Education** * Technical or Bachelor’s degree in: * Quality * Production Engineering * Food Engineering * Food Technology * Related fields **Behavioral Profile** * Assertive presence on the shop floor * Analytical and investigative mindset * Ability to lead problem-solving meetings * Strong cross-functional communication skills * Organization and discipline * Results-oriented with continuous improvement focus **Performance Indicators** * Waste reduction (%) * Grammage stability * Rework reduction * Response time to non-conformities * Customer complaints * Audit compliance * Data analysis capability * Process questioning mindset * Enforcement of standards * Interaction with PCP and Procurement * Understanding of customer impact Availability to work in Cidade Industrial neighborhood – Contagem/MG Working hours: 15:33 to 00:54 or 06:00 to 15:48 – Monday to Friday Compensation: R$2.415,00 per month Benefits: * Medical insurance * Dental insurance * Food basket * Life insurance * Meal allowance * Transportation allowance Work location: On-site
