Job Summary: This position is on-site, supporting engineers and analysts to ensure the performance and development of the PTC system across Brazilian railways. Key Highlights: 1. Work directly with railroads to monitor and control the performance of the PTC system. 2. Develop solutions and documentation for new PTC installations. 3. Collaborate with global teams to implement new railway systems. **Job Description** **This role requires on-site work in Contagem, MG.** **Who will you work with?** Currently, the Onboard Engineering team comprises engineers and analysts who collaboratively engage directly with customers and development teams to understand railroad requirements and shape the future of onboard systems for Brazilian railways. **How will you make a difference?** **As a member of the PTC Onboard Systems team, you will be responsible for:** * Working directly with railroads to monitor and ensure PTC system performance during railway operations. * Conducting failure analysis, defect correction, maintenance control, and customer support for PTC system maintenance. * Developing solutions and producing documentation—including schematics, specifications, and manuals—for new PTC installations. * Developing controls and managing performance indicators for current projects. * Collaborating closely with Wabtec’s global teams to implement new systems and projects for Brazilian railways. **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor's degree completed in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control and Automation, Information Systems, or Computer Science. * Proven experience with embedded systems applied to the railway industry. * Proven experience in data analysis. * Experience with railway signaling systems, with focus on PTC and I\-ETMS. * Experience in failure analysis, defect correction, and technical support for railway systems. * Ability to conduct software and hardware testing in operational environments. * Experience with software lifecycle management tools and requirement traceability tools. * Proficiency in English (advanced or fluent), with strong written and spoken communication skills. * Ability to develop performance indicators and system controls. * Ability to lead technical meetings and discussions in collaborative, international team settings. * Excellent oral and written communication skills.
