Job Summary: Repairs inner tubes and tires; performs inspections, mounting, tire pressure calibration, and lubrication of equipment; provides support for general mechanical maintenance. Essential support for general mechanical maintenance Repair inner tubes and tires; inspect tires to verify tread depth and pattern, assess retreadability, mount and demount assemblies on vehicles; calibrate tires according to the established plan. Lubricate mechanical parts of equipment; check oil and filter replacement levels in general; perform support activities for general mechanical maintenance. **Responsibilities and Duties:** * Repair tires by demounting them using appropriate equipment, marking locations requiring repair, performing vulcanization and repairs, and finishing to enable final mounting and installation on vehicles; * Control tire lifespan and usage by inspecting overall tread and groove condition and reporting replacement or retreading needs; * Evaluate tire tread patterns, inspect wear, and perform tire rotation when necessary to extend tire life; * Calibrate tires and wheel assemblies using a pressure gauge; * Mark tires with their respective codes using appropriate tools for control and monitoring purposes; * Assess wheel and rim conditions regarding cracks and corrosion, reporting any anomalies identified to the supervisor; * Identify required vehicle services and record them on service orders (OS) for task tracking; * Lubricate mechanical parts of equipment to minimize wear; * Check and top up general lubricating oil levels; * Replace general filters and lubricating oil to ensure optimal operating conditions; * Record performed lubrication activities to enable fleet maintenance tracking; * Complete oil change control requisitions; * Manage tools under personal responsibility and maintain workplace organization and cleanliness; * Perform other related professional duties inherent to the position as directed or requested by the immediate supervisor.
