Joining fabric parts according to the pattern. Performing finishing tasks on garments and textile products. Following patterns and production instructions. Operating machines such as overlock, straight-stitch, and binding machines. Inspecting seam quality. Making minor repairs and adjustments to garments. Sorting and preparing materials for sewing. Folding and organizing finished pieces. Correcting defects in garments when necessary. Keeping the workstation organized. Adhering to the textile industry's quality standards. Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, dressmaker, or fashion designer may indicate familiarity with some of the duties associated with this position. High school diploma required.
