Description

Based on specific policies and objectives defined by the Operations Management, the incumbent is responsible for organizing, issuing shipping/discharge documentation, executing and controlling operational activities carried out at the Port at the corporate level, within deadlines, quality standards, lowest operational cost and customer satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Humanities or Exact Sciences fields. * National Driver's License category B. * Proficiency in Office suite. * Technical English. * Experience in leadership and technical guidance in cargo handling and shipping operations will be a differentiating factor. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: * Act as Custodian, performing reception, verification and signing of fiscal documents related to goods movement, embarkation and disembarkation of passengers and crew on vessels docked at the terminal. * Perform registration of presence and cargo delivery in SISCOMEX (Integrated Foreign Trade System), as well as granting access for people and vehicles into the port's customs area. * Prepare, monitor, organize, issue and sign all cargo loading and discharge documentation, ensuring it is properly accepted and signed by the Ship's Master or Chief Officer. * Minimize or eliminate remarks made by the Ship's Master or Chief Officer on Mate’s Receipts and other cargo documents and, when necessary, issue Letter of Protest. * Draft Letter of Protest regarding loss of operational productivity and/or suspension of operations due to vessel equipment breakdown or damage caused to Terminal equipment. * Carry out daily submission of SOF (Statement of Facts) to shipping agencies. * Ensure that payroll reports for TPA’s (Casual Port Workers) are correctly sent and within deadlines to OGMO (Labor Management Agency). * Issue and send operation closure reports to clients. * Inform onboard units to clients and Terminal users through electronic files exported to R3/SAP systems (Systems, Applications and Products). * Issue operational reports for monitoring activities. * Monitor cargo reception operations, barges and vessels. * Authorize and supervise all vessel entry and exit movements within the port basin. * Coordinate with Shipping Agencies and Shipowners vessel and barge arrivals (ETA – Estimated Time of Arrival), as well as scheduling the pilot (professional responsible for docking and undocking maneuvers) for vessel entry and exit operations at the Terminal. * Plan and request casual labor according to operational demand. * Control, monitor and send service execution forms related to goods handling at the Terminal, for subsequent billing by the responsible department. * Ensure support to Port Operations Supervisors, Assistants and Controllers, guaranteeing operational activities comply with planning and development guidelines. * Enter into the system the scheduling of vessels for cargo already received and stored. * Represent Portocel as an official representative before competent authorities and entities. * Prepare the TOP (Port Occurrence Report) whenever necessary.
